Three representatives from St. Andrew’s Church in Pinedale, Wyoming are now on their way  home from Msalato and Bishop Stanway Primary School   full of gratitude, tears and wonder.   They like Jessie and I have fallen under the magical power of love and friendship from the people who have so little to give and yet who share joyously what  they have.  Just to bring you up to speed on all of this, Jessie and I went to Wyoming right after Christmas 2008.   We have a mutual friend there and we had a two-fold mission.  One was to get me out of town following my last Sunday at Emmanuel (a rather emotional time for me), but the other reason was for us to show our Power Point presentation to two small churchs there.   St. Andrew’s is the larger of the two.  St. John the Baptist has only 9 members.  Both churches picked up the ball with the guidance and integrity and DETERMINATION of one Tom Davenport (our friend).  Those churches are sponsoring students (both at BSPS and Msalato Theological College) and they have gotten a sizable grant from a Foundation in the Diocese of Wyoming.  And now they have sent Patty and Phil and Leanne there to meet the people, and to assess what else they can do.  I cannot wait to hear what is next for Wyoming.   Let me direct you to Leanne’s blog:  Read for yourself the connection and the continuation of their good works in Tanzania.

And special thanks to Tom Davenport who may be a saint in rancher’s clothing.  He and the good people of Pinedale are working wonders.  If I had a hat I would tip it at them and say asante sana.
